LCA Food 2024: Participation and Best Oral Presentation Award for Veronika Schlosser

We are excited to share that Veronika Schlosser, one of our PhD candidates represented SAFAS and presented our research at this year's LCA Food conference in Barcelona.

With over 400 participants, 200 posters, and 150 oral presentations, the event was filled with fascinating insights and motivation for our ongoing research.
🏆We are also thrilled to announce that Veronika, during her first oral presentation at her first LCA conference, received the award for Best Oral Presentation! 🎉


This year's topic of the LCA Food was healthy food systems for a healthy diet. Some of the key topics related to our research included:

🌍 Sustainable territories and economies
🧪 New developments in life cycle impact assessment
🌱 Integration of agroecology and soil health in LCA

🎤 Veronika's talk focused on assessing biodiversity impacts of recent land use changes driven by increases in agri-food production from 1995 to 2022.
