I studied forestry in Munich and Zurich. Since 2000, I have been working at the Chair of Forest and Environmental Policy. My PhD thesis was about the perception and management of alpine natural hazards. I'm a lecturer in master's and bachelor's programs about forestry and geography. My research interests lie in land-use conflicts, natural hazards management, human dimensions of wildlife research, and forest history.
