At the Chair of Production and Resource Economics, we are committed to fostering research collaboration and academic cooperation with African partners to address the unique challenges and opportunities facing agricultural and food systems as well as sustainable resource management across the continent. By engaging in interdisciplinary research and outreach as well as capacity building, we aim to contribute to sustainable agricultural development, food security, and dynamic economic growth in Africa. Collaborative efforts with African researchers, policymakers, NGOs and public institutions allow us to tailor innovative solutions that are context-specific and impactful, while also building state-of-the-art capacity and strengthening strong partnerships that drive long-term change. Together, we seek to bridge knowledge gaps, enhance local and regional expertise, and create a shared vision for a more resilient and prosperous agricultural and rural as well as urban future.
