Around two years ago, the research idea of the Chair Group of Production and Resource Economics (PuR) entitled ELEWI ("How efficient are the structures in the life sciences in Germany?") was positively evaluated by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in the funding line "Quantitative Science Studies". Since then, staff at the chair group, in cooperation with researchers from the HIS Institute for Higher Education Development, have been intensively investigating the question of how productive the life sciences in Germany are and what conditions have a favorable effect on the output of scientific institutions.
On January 30th and 31st, the BMBF invites researchers of all supported projects of the funding line "Quantitative Science Studies" to the Fraunhofer Forum in Berlin to present and discuss the status of their work. The PuR chair group is represented by Professor Sauer, Maya Flekstad and Stefan Wimmer. A project management meeting precedes the status event.
