Professor Sauer and Emmanuel Benjamin complete second research and networking mission to Egypt (6/4-12/4)


As part of the collaboration efforts financed by the TUM Global Incentive Fund, the TUM team visited the Alexandria University, and the American University in Cairo as well as co-organized with the Cairo University a one day workshop at the DAAD premises entitled “Current Research in Agricultural and Resource Economics with Focus on Climate- and Water Smart Agriculture in Arid Regions – A Pragmatic Review”. The research trip was also used to organize high delegation meetings with the president of the Agricultural Research Center Egypt and Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University delegates from Nigeria as well as collaboration partners from the Cairo University and Menoufia University. The PuR team will continue its efforts to form an excellence oriented research and extension network to foster long-term collaborations in the North African region with respect to sustainable and productive agricultural structures.
