The Asian Development Bank currently supports a project for sustainable agricultural development and waste recycling in China with considerable financial resources. The project, entitled "Agriculture Green Production and Waste Management", promotes the development of sustainable agricultural systems in the arable farming regions of the provinces of Heilongjiang and Shandong as well as the implementation of a rural development plan in the province of Qinghai.

After a two-year project period, an online workshop took place on January 28. As part of the workshop, the progress of the project was assessed. At the invitation of the Asian Development Bank, Professor Sauer attended the workshop as an evaluating external expert.
