Special honor for Alois Heißenhuber, the former holder of the Chair of Agricultural Economics and in this role the predecessor of Professor Sauer, at the end of June: The Bavarian Academy for Rural Areas (BALR), a non-profit association that has been committed to the interests of rural areas in Bavaria for more than 30 years, awarded him the Golden Badge of Honor. With this award, the BALR acknowledges the outstanding services that Mr. Heißenhuber has rendered to the academy, as well as his tireless commitment to rural areas.
