As the oldest and largest organization for the promotion of gifted students in Germany, the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (German National Academic Foundation) has been offering its scholars the opportunity to participate in academies in order to expand knowledge and to promote interdisciplinary exchange. By participating in working groups with different thematic priorities and subsequent discussion rounds between the groups, the event facilitates the exposure to new perspectives, inspiring experiences and the learning of new skills.
At this year's summer academy, themed "Zukunft.Future," Professor Sauer led a working group on "Resilience Policy - Systems and Adverse Events," which took place between September 14 and 24 at SOAS University of London.
