As part of the Chair Group’s internationalization strategy, Professor Sauer and Emmanuel Benjamin travelled to Egypt for the third time in order to intensify the chair’s cooperation with Egyptian partners in the fields of research, teaching and student/staff exchanges. On the 6th of November, the PuR Chair Group and the TUM Cairo Office jointly organized a PhD workshop for 20 invited participants on scientific research proposal writing and third party funding application as well as potential student exchange at the DAAD office in Cairo. Furthermore, a series of meetings with researchers from Cairo University, the Egyptian E-Learning University, Alexandria University, the American University in Cairo and the Agricultural Research Center was scheduled.
