Building on previous activities to set up a research network in the field of sustainable agricultural development with leading Chinese universities and research institutes, the Chair Group of Production and Resource Economics invited young Chinese researchers to an online workshop in the above-mentioned subject area on February 23. Selected PhD students were given the opportunity to present their current work and to discuss it with the workshop participants, including experienced professors.
Professor Sauer welcomed a total of 15 participants from six different Chinese universities and research institutes. In the course of the workshop, six current studies were presented that dealt with a wide range of agricultural and resource economics topics (from fiscal decentralization to land use changes through urbanization).
