IPM-Popillia General Assembly 2021 (28/10-29/10)

On the 28th and 29th of October 2021 members of the IPM-Popillia consortium came together at the TUM campus in Freising for the yearly General Assembly of the IPM-Popillia project, funded under the EU's Horizon 2020 research programme. The event provided the possibility to get insights and learn about the progress and developments made in the different interdisciplinary work packages of the project. The meeting's sessions covered topics from administrative issues, innovative tools for the detection, monitoring and control of the Japanese beetle, concepts for the planned citizen science app and much more.

Franziska Straubinger presented her research results regarding potential damage costs of a Japanese beetle infestation within Europetogether with Professor Sauer and Dr. Benjamin. Aside from the presentations, the two-day event also offered time for discussions between the partners and a Q&A session with the External Advisory Board of the project. The event was planned so that participants could attend both online and in person.

More information and recent updates on the project can be found on the official IPM-Popillia website: https://www.popillia.eu/.
